Claire O'Connor
Consultant
& Coach
Since 1996, I've helped
hundreds of people shape inviting, intelligent, deeply functional spaces which have the power to make life easier
and to nourish well-being everyday.
Whereas most
traditional interior design consulting is based on a model that resolves design challenges using "outside"
information, rules, trends and "shoulds", my approach is much more “inside-out”.
Believing that our homes are an expression of and metaphor for our inner
reality, I specialize in teaching you how to design your ideal life by designing your ideal space.
Combining a
warm, down-to-earth practicality with heart and intuition, my greatest gift is helping you gain confidence in finding
your own answers.

I draw on extensive studies in social and environmental psychology, a BA cum laude in Holistic Human Development
and a minor in Counseling Psychology from
Northland College, along with advanced professional training in Western Feng Shui.
I bring a fresh, enthusiastic, compassionate
and light-hearted perspective to your environment dilemmas. My passion is the study of psychology, human behavior,
self-actualization and the rich inter-relationship of people and the built environment.
I participated in a two-year coach/facilitator Transformational
Leader Program at the Hendricks Institute for Conscious Living. I am also a Hendricks Institute-Certified Bodymind Vibrance and Conscious Relationship Coach.
My background includes 16 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and 3 years
as a wilderness-based environmental educator and group facilitator. I studied Feng Shui with the visionary
architect Tom Bender . I'm a 1998 graduate of the Western School of Feng Shui in San Diego where I studied directly under Terah Kathryn Collins. I've also studied with Denny Daikeler, an innovative, internationally renowned Interior Design teacher whose approach marries environmental psychology with
spirituality.

On varied topics related to the "re-enchantment" of home,
I've been fortunate to have been the subject of numerous interviews and articles on both coasts. I've
been described as a warmly engaging public speaker, and I've taught workshops and clinics at IKEA, Raritan Valley Community
College, Portland Community College and Hunterdon County Adult Education and many other venues.
I'm involved in a number of other creative activities in addition to Enchanted
Home. Click here to explore: Enchanted Life and Enchanted Studio.

My interests include puttering, nesting, quilting and painting at
my cozy "encantada a casa" (enchanted home) in beautiful Tucson, Arizona, with my sweet,
kind man Ken Plattner and our darling chocolate lab, Roxy. Keeping life simple, we enjoy gardening, home projects, walking/hiking, being
on the water, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
